
Ben Thomas

Ben Thomas is a professional guitarist, educator, and composer based in Los Angeles. Ben started to play guitar at the age of 15 and within a year was playing professionally in the blues scene under the guidance of blues legend, Sean Carney. He earned his BFA in Jazz Guitar at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, performed in Brazil with jazz pianist Phil DeGreg, toured all over the Midwest and East coast, and released multiple albums with various ensembles. Recently, Ben moved to Los Angeles to study with Larry Koonse and earned a Masters Degree in Jazz Guitar from the California Institute of the Arts. He currently performs and composes as a sideman for various jazz, folk, and blues ensembles in the SoCal area such as Reza Rohani, Mary McGuinness, and Groove Empire Orchestra.
