CYDNEY WAYNE DAVIS is a seasoned professional lead and background singer who has harmonized her 4 octave voice with legendary artists such as Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, Barry White, Joe Cocker, Donna Summer, Stevie Wonder, Bette Midler, Fifth Dimension, Kenny Loggins, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr., and Diana Ross in both live performances and studio recordings.

 

As a BMI songwriter and music publisher with Happnin' Hooks Music , Cydney's original music can be heard in movie sound tracks such as "T.O.O. G.O.O.D" in Heaven Is A Playground,  "Listening For Your Love" in Black Magic Woman, and "You're Gonna Love It" recorded by Diana Ross on her Force Behind The Power CD. Her vocal students include beginners as well as professional recording artists and Grammy winners such as jazz artist Norman Brown, Fifth Dimension's Florence Larue, George Brown of Kool and the Gang, also members of the LION KING, r&b vocal trio JADE, latin girl group Soluna, and Motown recording artist and EMINEM's "Track 13 Girl", Dina Rae.

With a passion for telling stories Cydney was naturally drawn into theater both an actress and playwright. A long time member of the ROBEY THEATRE COMPANY's Advanced Scene Study Workshop taught by Ben Guillory, Cydney honed her craft as an actress and won the 2013 NAACP's Theatre Award for BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS for her role as "Theresa Lucasta" in Robey Theatre's production of "Anna Lucasta."
